MULTI-DIRECTIONAL IMPACT PROTECTIONAL SYSTEM

Mips® technology is used in helmets that aims to enhance protection against certain types of impact. It is designed to reduce rotational forces on the head in the event of a crash. Mips technology is often used in helmets for sports. The Mips® safety system features a low-friction layer inside the helmet that allows multi-directional movement of 10-15mm on certain angled impacts, intended to help reduce rotational force to the head.

FIBERGLASS SHELL

Fiberglass is a very light weight, strong and mouldable material. It is made of thin strands of reinforced plastic embedded with glass fibres. Held together with a binding agent, fibreglass, can be woven into a flat mat and moulded to any shape which makes it a perfect material for helmets. Not only is fibreglass flexible, but it is also incredibly lightweight and strong. The flexibility of the material allows the energy of an impact to spread out more evenly along with the outer shell, so less force is transferred to your head. A fiberglass helmet is strong enough to stand up to a heavy blow, but flexible enough to distribute that force across the entire helmet.
